James is an experienced Senior Business Analyst and a certified trainer who has been working in IT for more than 16 years as a consultant.
He spent the first part of his career in the Banking & Finance sector and was heavily involved in numerous business change initiatives, before moving into the Information Systems domain. Since then he has worked predominantly as a Business, Systems & Test Analyst managing change at the interface between the Business & IT domains.
He has detailed knowledge and experience in many analytical tools and techniques. He delivers training using proven techniques, real-life experiences and practical experience through working as a consultant on many key strategic projects.
James’s areas of expertise include Project management, business analysis, software/system design and quality assurance.
His experience covers many industries including Financial, Insurance, Banking, Public and manufacturing sectors.
He has a profound academic background, Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng), Certified Business Analyst, PRINCE2™ Oracle. Certified Scrum Master and trainer.
With a wealth of experience gained in a variety of roles in Blue-chip environments and the public sector, such as the London Stock Exchange, Barclays, RBS, AXA, HSBC, Bank of Montreal, Scottish Government, Financial Ombudsman Service and HMRC.
His extensive industry experience ensures that his courses are both comprehensive and benchmarked against real-life cases. His students appreciate his light-hearted and discursive approach to teaching.
